The "Aum gaM | gaNapatayE namaH |" has a stop (lips should be closed) between "gaM" and "gaNapatayE", as per the gaNeSha atharvashIrSham. The sandDhi prayOga "gamgaNapatayE" or "gangaNapatayE" is prohibited by the shruti: "gakAraH pUrvarUpam, akArO maDhyama rUpam, anusvAraschAntya rUpam, binduruttara rUpam". The word "gaM" must be recited as such in this mantra of gaNaka Rishi. Is this incorrect? |

Could you please upload word by word translations, grammar explanations, and audio files for the stories? That way I can learn them and also teach them to my friends.

Good! keep it up. Up-to-date news , no problem, even if it is only one update daily. It helps learning the language. 'Latest' news reading in Sanskrit is always more interesting.My son is also getting befitted. Pl. go for single words in stead of 'Sandhi'. e.g. निर्वाचनम अधिकृत्य in place of निर्वाचनमधिकृत्य.
Such approach will help beginners.

Under Science in Sanskrit, Sanskrit-Bharati folks have gathered and presented the evidence of science, you should not have darkened theirstamp ... it shows your mentality being currupt - although it might not be... so be proud to collect stuff from others but do not forget the credits unless you did it yourself.

Published by Mahatma Gandhi University/Vastuvidhya Gurukulam Arnamula. I am on 'subandhangal' (declensions) now. But learning a language is to hearing it first.
